Republicans come out for Tancredo over GOP nominee Maes

And the Republican Governor’s Association made clear today that they would not be bankrolling ads supporting Maes.”We have spent money in Colorado. Past tense,” said RGA chair and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, according to National Journal.

Meanwhile, despite Hickenlooper’s lead in the polls, the Democratic Governor’s Association has put Colorado on its list of states set for “Project Extreme GOP Makeover.” The plan is to exploit rifts within the Republican party and pick up more centrist voters who think Tea Party candidates are too extreme.

LAPD chief defends deadly shooting

LOS ANGELES – Police Chief Charlie Beck on Tuesday defended an officer’s shooting of a knife-wielding man whose death sparked a violent protest, with demonstrators pelting police with rocks and bottles.

Beck told the Police Commission that witness and officer accounts indicate that the officer who killed Guatemalan immigrant Manuel Jamines on Sunday acted “in immediate defense of life” and that he was warned in English and Spanish to drop the knife, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Rioting Hits a Sanctuary City

The Los Angeles Police Department’s sanctuary policy is officially intended to foster trust between illegal aliens and the LAPD–in particular, to ensure that illegal aliens cooperate with the police in reporting crime. No one has ever shown that sanctuary policies result in more witness cooperation than would occur without such policies, but we can now say with assurance that the more general “trust and good will” rationale for sanctuary policies is bogus.

Report: 90 Percent of Mexican Drug War Guns Originate in US

(Sept. 7. 2010) — A bloody, drug-fueled war is being waged just across the border in Mexico and a report out Tuesday finds that 90 percent of the guns traced from Mexican crime scenes since 2006 have originated in the United States. The report was released by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group of more than 500 mayors from American towns and cities, and was based primarily on data from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The Myth of 90 Percent: Only a Small Fraction of Guns in Mexico Come From U.S.

Barack Obama wrong on U.S. guns in Mexico: FactCheck.org-updated

(April 17, 2009) UPDATE: On April 22 FactCheck.org withdrew its flat statement that the president was wrong, saying it could not prove that. An updated item appeared here.)

On his recently concluded first visit to Mexico as president, a week after telling Europeans that his country had been at times arrogant, President Barack Obama blamed his own country for providing 90% of Mexico’s recovered crime guns.

According to a report by the independent FactCheck.org this afternoon, that’s incorrect. By a, uh, long shot.

Calderon’s shot at American guns

(May 24, 2010) Felipe Calderon received liberal plaudits for falsely claiming Arizona’s new immigration law uses racial profiling, but that wasn’t the only baloney the Mexican president peddled during his state visit. Over four minutes of his Thursday address to Congress was spent lecturing Americans to renew the federal Assault Weapons Ban that sunset in September 2004. His justifications for the ban were all garbage.

Baumgardner’s Arizona border trip ignites Colorado immigration debate

Baumgardner said “there’s a very good possibility there will be legislation drafted” regarding immigration laws in Colorado’s 2011 legislative session.

Grassroots Efforts for Immigration Reform: Voices from Michigan, New York, and Colorado

Julie Gonzales is an organizer at the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) and the Colorado State Director for the Reform Immigration for America (RIFA) campaign.

Gonzales: Our coalition [in Colorado] began in October of 2006. Everybody understood the fight, but for us, it didn’t feel like there was necessarily a way to plug in. We weren’t doing the day-to-day lobbying. We needed to find a way to engage the local communities, to make sure everyone could participate, including young people. With the DREAM Act effort of October, 2007, there was creative, new, engaging, exciting work in which people could become involved. We did things in Colorado–like lobby visits with State legislators in Spanish–that helped gear us up for the latest efforts. The RIFA campaign [is focused on] trying to marry those two worlds of political lobbying and grassroots organizing. We don’t have everything figured out, but we’re doing better.

Hickenlooper charity supports radicals

DENVER – While Mayor John Hickenlooper was trying to put on a “world-class convention” for the Democrat Party in 2008, a charity he helped establish was giving money to a left-wing group determined to disrupt the event at every turn.

Re-create 68 was just one of many groups that have received donations from the Chinook Fund over the years. The fund, which donates to groups it says are considered “too new, too risky or too radical” for more traditional foundations, was established by Hickenlooper and others in 1987.

Under New American Management Al-Qaida Now Poses Inner Threat

If al-Qaida looks and sounds different as we approach 9/11′s ninth anniversary, it’s because it’s under new American management. No fewer than four U.S. citizens and a permanent U.S. resident have risen to senior leadership posts.

These five English-speaking leaders are actively planning or facilitating attacks against their countrymen, while recruiting and radicalizing other American turncoats to carry them out.

Why do Muslims call Christians and Jews “Infidels?” Why do Muslim terrorists decapitate trembling hostages and scream “Allah Akbar!” (God is great) as they hack off their victim’s head? Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily, “Tancredo for Governor”

So, the logical question is, why doesn’t Tancredo support Dan Maes, the winner of the Republican primary? The reason is that Tancredo sees Maes as a fraud, a charlatan who mouths conservative, anti-establishment slogans but has no real convictions. Maes has also been caught in several ethical lapses involving campaign funds and mileage reimbursements, and there are serious allegations that he has misrepresented his business successes.

Tea party activists rally on Arizona-Mexico border

HEREFORD, AZ – Tea party groups have converged on a remote section of the U.S.-Mexico border to show support for Arizona’s controversial immigration law. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio spoke to the crowd of more than 400 people gathered Sunday about 70 miles west of Nogales on a private ranch.

He said immigration enforcement goes far beyond the nation’s border and the Mexican Government should welcome U.S. border patrol or military forces to go after drug cartels south of the border.

Mexican Drug Justice: Catch and Release

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) – It’s practically a daily ritual: Accused drug traffickers and assassins, shackled and bruised from beatings, are paraded before the news media to show that Mexico is winning its drug war. Once the television lights dim, however, about three-quarters of them are let go.

Even as President Felipe Calderon’s government touts its arrest record, cases built by prosecutors and police under huge pressure to make swift captures unravel from lack of evidence. Innocent people are tortured into confessing. The guilty are set free, only to be hauled in again for other crimes. Sometimes, the drug cartels decide who gets arrested.

Officer’s defense team demanding Obama docs.

The issue of discovery in such a dispute is critical. The multitude of civil cases that have been brought over the Obama eligibility dispute all have failed to reach that process because of federal judges who have ruled on issues generally involving “standing.” The judges have concluded that damages from an ineligible president suffered by the plaintiffs would not be more for them than any other member of the public, so there is not a specific damage or danger.

“No confidence votes” become a pattern at ICE and Border Patrol

The recent 259-0 disapproval of ICE’s point man John Morton by his fellow coworkers lends itself to an unwanted pattern in federal law enforcement agencies. Just last year the U.S. Border Patrol’s union, National Border Patrol Council put forth a similar vote and declared “no confidence” in their leader, David V. Aguilar.

Badge for sale – the tales of MICE and men

Mexican drug cartels and smuggling organizations use the old Soviet principles, summarized by the cold war acronym MICE (Money, Ideology, Compromise and Ego) in their approach to recruiting border agents. Oftentimes, the smugglers don’t have to swim, run or climb a fence. All they need is a corrupt border official on the take – and the numbers of crooked law enforcement officials are simply staggering.

Excellent report, CBS! While your intent may have been to garner sympathy for these poor criminals, in fact, it has proven every allegation we, the supporters of this law have made! We have a woman and her spouse here illegally for 15 freakin’ years and thinks they have not broken any laws! And while people that truly want to integrate into the American society, the so-called American dream, learn to speak English as part of that process, these vermin likely cannot speak a word of English after 15 years!! But it gets even better! No job, 10 anchor babies but they can afford a nice shiny late model SUV to drive off in!

Again, thank you, CBS News for showing that the Arizona law is just and necessary! Now, if all states adopt similar laws, maybe there will be hope for this country!

Gonorrhea Lectim Disease

Information about Gonorrhea Lectim

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It’s pronounced “Gonna re-elect ‘em,” and it is a terrible Obamanation.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008… but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.

It’s sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don’t engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it. Some people suffer from side-effects inducing the need for an immediate recall or impeachment movement.

Several states are already on top of this, like Virginia and New Jersey, and apparently now Massachusetts, with many more seeing the writing on the wall.

McCain 2.0 now on sale

The real John McCain has been kidnapped and an impostor is running against J.D. Hayworth in the Arizona U.S. Senate primary.

It does sound far-fetched, but stranger things have happened in American politics. It’s actually quite clever when you think about it.

John McCain realized quite early that he could not win re-election to the Senate if he campaigned on his actual record – that is, if he campaigned as who he is. So, he arranged to be kidnapped and secluded in a five-star resort in Fiji while a well-groomed look-alike, McCain 2.0, campaigns in his place.

McCain 2.0 is campaigning as a strong, unapologetic Reagan conservative. He is now opposed to illegal immigration and wants 3,000 National Guard troops sent to the Mexican border. The real John McCain would gag on that speech, so he has to be 10,000 miles away. He reportedly spends his days on Fiji divided between watching old James Cagney movies and writing his next book, “With Apologies Galore.”

Despite opposition from the National Rifle Association and with significant support of law enforcement and victim’s advocacy groups, the House Judiciary Committee passed a bill that will prevent those who have been arrested or charged with a crime from purchasing a firearm in Colorado. House Bill 1391, sponsored by Rep. Joe Rice, D-Littleton, passed in the committee yesterday by a vote of 6-5. The bill will extend the practice of having the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conduct firearm background checks, known as InstaCheck, and prohibit a person who has been charged with a felony or certain domestic violence cases, from purchasing, receiving, or possessing a firearm under state or federal law while the charges are being adjudicated. Persons who are cleared and persons without records are not kept from their constitutional right to own a firearm.
